Provided by YP.comHORRIBLE doesn't begin to describe it. I hired EZ moving then Northwestern van lines
Came and jade Homesafe paperwork on it. I paid for over half of my delivery and it's been a week and I have yet to see any of my belongings. I've called Homesafe and EZ about 10 times each and no one answers the calls or calls me back. Do NOT go with ant of these 3 companies EVER.

Provided by YP.comI was told by the sales person that booked my delivery that it would take 2.5 weeks tops for my things to be delivered.
It was a frightening experience using Northwestern Van Lines as during the entire 40 days they had my possessions I had to call at least 7 different times checking in on the moving progress.
The shady part about my shipment was that the driver demanded cash payment first before they started unloading. Once they got their money they began moving my possessions but the damage was done.
After getting all my boxes inside and opening them up I realize that a box was missing. I called Northwestern Van Lines customer service, and got no help. They directed to me to a third party site to file a "claim for lost goods." All I want is my box of cloths back,.
I recommend you DO NOT use Northwestern Van Lines as there are many other national moving companies that offer the same service as the same price, but with better care.

Provided by YP.comEven disappointing is too positive a word to describe my experience with this company. If you can't move it yourself, sell it! Don't use this company! Horrible experience! Poor customer service, cost doubled, breakage, delays upon delays!

Provided by YP.comI am glad I finally found some real reviews on this company. I was given several links in an email about what a great company they are and have an A+ rating with the BBB. All that stuff is phony. I called to get an estimate for a long distance move and was pressured into putting down a deposit to reserve my price, otherwise the price would go up from there. I gave them a deposit and told them that I didn't have a date or address for the move yet and I would call them with that info. a couple weeks later I got a call stating that a truck would be at my house the next day to pick up my stuff. I told the lady that I didn't have a start date yet so I wouldn't need the truck. she argued with me that was what she had on her paperwork. I told her I would like to cancel the service so she changed her tune and suggested we reschedule. I have changed my mind about the move and called and emailed Christian today to cancel and issue my refund (not surprised there was no answer to my phone call).

Provided by YP.comI have been relocating regularly for the last 8 years and I always hire different moving companies to handle my move. But none of them measured up to the standards of Northwestern van lines. This company just blew my mind with their helpful customer service, experienced crew and reasonable prices. It’s a combination that is so rare in the moving business. But somehow they managed to provide amazing services at such low costs. None of my valuables suffered any damage while they helped me move and they maintained their timings throughout.

Provided by YP.comCan anyone out there tell me if they have any of their stuff with this company and have had any luck in getting their things delivered? I have two young girls sitting out in CA that have been promised their stuff since 12/18/16 and we cannot get a hold of anyone. If I knew where it was at we would hire someone else to go pick it up!

Provided by YP.comI’m one of the regular clients of Northwestern van lines. The reasons why I always go back to them when I have to relocate is because of they are just amazingly reliable. They have relocated my valuables 5 times now and they are yet to damage anything. That is a damn good achievement! It does help when they charge me such low prices for the amazing movers they keep sending. Each crew I have worked with has amazed me with their skills and efficiency. All in all, this company is a moving giant and you must hire them for your next move.

Provided by YP.comThis company had very shady characters show up in a Uhaul truck and said they didnt even know who Northwestern Van Lines was. They put my things in storage without my request or knowing and just left them there. I was told they would get my things to me within a week and now it has been 4 weeks to go less than 300 miles! No update on my delivery eta. I cant get anyone to answer my since they took my deposit. They send me to some customer service company to file a complaint and they are useless!!! After researching I found this loser Kane Goldman as the owner not of Northwestern Van Lines but of the company who charges and processes your deposit. AKA, a moving broker! Stay away!!! Would give 0 stars if possible.

Provided by YP.comYou get a quote on the phone and then call a couple of days before your scheduled move to go over the inventory again. When your furniture is on the truck you end up paying double. It was to be delivered on Jan 25th. On Jan 20th the rehab on our house was behind so we called the company to see if we could extend the delivery. She assured us that was no problem. We rescheduled to Feb 1, one week later. We did not get her name. On Jan 26 we get a call from the company saying they would deliver on Jan 27th in the evening. We called the company and they had no record of our phone call on the 20th. We had a cashier's check from the bank ready for them. They would only accept cash!!! As the banks were closed I could not get the cash and they would not unload the truck. They sat on the street all night in front of our house until we could get $2500 cash the next morning. They charged us an extra $400. What a scam! Northwestern also told us they use their own delivery vans. They do not!!!!

Provided by YP.comWe were moving to live close to our family. Northwestern van lines was referred to me by my brother. I called them and easily got a reasonable quote. The movers arrived early and started packing up my belongings. They loaded everything onto the van very carefully. The delivery was made on time. Nothing broke or got damaged on the way. In the end, I realized that this move was just too easy. I only have the crew to thank for it.

Provided by YP.comEvery single 5 star review on this page is FAKE!!!! notice that there are only either 1 star or 5 star reviews, with every 5 star review saying "Northwestern van lines"-exact spelling/capitalization- in it at least once or twice. And all of the 5 star reviews are obviously too good to be true.
This company is a complete scam. Please do not give them a DIME. When I scheduled my delivery I was deceived by the fake reviews and at the time there was only 1 bad review. They picked up my belongings on Dec 22nd and it is now January 27th and I still don't have my belongings. I am terrified to see the condition they are in when/if my belongings arrive.
Northwestern Vanlines is now on YELP. Please read those reviews! Those reviews are the REAL representation of what this company does to people.
Northwestern Van lines you should be ashamed of yourselves. Taking money from innocent people who are going through one of the most stressful things you can go through. I hope you read this.

Provided by YP.comIf you want to know what efficiency is, just hire the movers from Northwestern van lines. They were absolutely brilliant during my move. The crew arrived right on the scheduled time. They were very well equipped and got to work immediately. They packed up my 3-bedroom house in just 2 hours. It was their incredible speed and accuracy that truly impressed me. It seemed like they came, saw and conquered. The men were always helping each other out. The organization and coordination among them was brilliant. I believe the men have been working together for a long time. Their foreman was a very experienced man and knew exactly how to get the best job out of his men. I strongly recommend this company.

Provided by YP.comNorthwestern van lines gave us every reason to be happy. They quoted low, the movers arrived on time, the packing-loading process went without any problems and they delivered everything completely unharmed. Is there really anything else you expect from a moving company? Throw in their friendly attitude and helpful nature too. This company did such a good job moving my stuffs last week and I really cannot thank them enough.

Provided by YP.comDISHONEST, SHADY,UNPROFESSIONAL, SCAM ARTISTS! The lies began with Calvin Davis(representative) who assured me they were a good company who kept their commitments and had no bad reviews. We talk through my needs and how pertinent it is for my things to arrive before Christmas. He promised delivery between Dec 7 and 16. On Dec 22, I have no knowledge where my stuff is or when I will get it. I also needed a commitment on the exact day they would pick up my stuff as I had to fly to the location and back out to work, they gave me a commitment of December 4th no later than the 5th but were a no show. They came late on the 6th a day late but at least allowing me to hold to my schedule. As soon as they arrived they told me that Calvin didn't know what he was doing and the quote was wrong and would have to be redone with a much higher price and I would have to pay part of it in cash. The new price was almost double what I initially paid, and I had to come up with cash. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Provided by YP.comThis was our third relocation and first time with Northwestern van lines. I tried moving on my own and then I tried hiring a cheap moving company. On both occasions, mishaps were in abundance. I finally decided to stop being so stuck up and hire someone who knows what to do! That’s when I hired Northwestern van lines. These guys came in and made relocating seem like a piece of cake. The movers were punctual, efficient and above all, experienced. They were always prepared for any unforeseen issues and handled the situations very skillfully. This company is not expensive either.

Provided by YP.comI was deceived by Northwestern Van Lines not as a customer but an employee. They filled the salesmen with lies and we sold services for a fraudulent company!!! After 6 months of working for these crooks, I started to see the results of their business. There was never an intent to ship the customers things. Northwestern simply charges a deposit, picks up the belongings and puts ALL things into storage until a real carrier can actually delivery (If anyone ever does) and THEN--the carrier has to charge more because northwestern kept half of the money only to pickup and take to a nearby warehouse. I am disgusted by their practices and wont even take a penny from them for the commission they owe me.

Provided by YP.comSTOP! Do not use this company for any type of cross country move, you will be sorry if you do. I moved from Chicago to California and the move was a disaster from start to finish. Moving day: I live in a hi-rise and have a move time reserved from 1-5 in the afternoon. They call at 3pm saying they don't think they can make it today and could we do it tomorrow. After several unanswered calls to the company a driver called me back and said we would have a truck there at 8 p.m., luckily my building allowed me to move out this late. At this point I had no choice and could not cancel my contract because I was closing on the condo I was living in and had to be out. Every day they had my furniture I felt like I would never see it again. So a few weeks later I called the company to get the final cost on my bill only to tell me it was a totally different amount that what I actually owed, that took forever to resolve. I put several calls into the hi-pressure/pushy sales rep never to get a return call. I also left messages on other phones but no one in that company picks up a phone or calls you back. Finally my stuff arrive in California, driver calls and says I can pick up the stuff in L.A. (because the driver could not get the 18 wheeler into my sisters complex) or he can shuttle it down for addition fee of $500-$700. My sister was handling things at the delivery end and said no you need to get closer to Orange County where she lived. They settled on Chino Hills. She rents a U-Haul and meets the driver only to discover he also had a UHaul, so why couldn't he have just driven it down to my sister house we will never figure out. I only had 23 pieces of furniture and boxes, and the driver ended up only having 22, they had lost a heavy metal dresser that was one of a kind, driver thinks it never got picked up in Chicago but would check his truck when he got back. I was just happy to get my stuff and not have it being held by this company any longer. I was not looking forward to having to place a claim for the dresser knowing no one answers the phone at corporate. Luckily the driver called the next day and had found the dresser on his truck and now is able to bring the delivery to us. Just a bit of advice: find a company that you can track your move with or put a tracking device on your possessions. But DON'T USE NORTHWESTERN VAN LINES!

Provided by YP.comThey were 4 days late picking up, and 1 day late on delivery. this was after the scheduled pick up and delivery. When they arrived for pick up, everything was packed and ready to be loaded, it took them 5 hours to load the truck from a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment. On delivery, after waiting 3 weeks, they charged us $700 extra for a shuttle service which was not discussed during the contract. They would not unload our belongings until we paid them. The mattress and box springs arrived wet and smelled awful, rendering them unusable. 6 other pieces of furniture were missing. We have yet to be able to talk to anyone because they will not return our calls. They seem to be conveniently on the phone. I will never recommend this company! The worst experience I have ever had in moving.
