So these people had both of my children for five months. My older son started when he was 21 months (almost two so in a younger class.) When he first started, I would come to pick him up and they would always have an "incident report" saying he was bit or scratched. They would laugh it off when I asked about it and say kids are rough.
Then, they came to me one day saying he had bit someone and that was unacceptable. I tried to explain that he had likely bitten someone who bit him but they didn't care. Sure enough I found a bite mark on him when we got home. I showed them the next day and they acted like it was all okay.
He kept coming home with marks but the incident reports stopped so I assumed it was just from normal play. He came home a couple times with what looked like thumb bruises on his arm where someone clearly grabbed him. I showed them and they pretended to care but nothing was ever said or done.
After that, they came at me with accusations that he was disrupting the classroom, something they had said nothing about for two months and he doesn't act like how they we're describing at home. I asked his speech therapist what she had observed and she said that he was being picked on and the teachers never seemed to notice or care until he defended himself. I had no other options for childcare as this was the only place that accepted CCAP that had room for my boys so I just started documenting the marks and trying to get them on wait lists for other places.
Time goes by with no luck finding a new place. One day they randomly come at me saying they will no longer watch him because he is too disruptive. They had only spoken to me twice and the last I had heard things were "better" so this was completely out of the blue and shocking. It didn't seem right so I checked my son completely when we got home. Sure enough there were two gouges clearly from long fingernails on his back. Adult fingernails from a grown woman.
I called to see what was going on and to confront them about whether this was the real reason they would suddenly pull daycare. The lady feigned ignorance at first and when I said I had taken pictures I could send she suddenly "remembered" that those marks were already there and that I must have done it. I was outraged. I don't even have fingernails as I type as MAIN part of my job so my nails are extremely short to the point of completely non existent.
I had paid them in advance and she assured me that they would send me the $44 dollars that I was owed. It may not seem like much but considering I no longer had child care and couldn't work, every penny mattered at Christmas. They have not sent the money.
I also went to pick up my son's handmade blanket, the wipes containers they insisted I purchase and leave there, and the diapers and wipes I had left there for my kids. They said they didn't have any of it!
DO NOT PLACE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. THEY HURT THEM, NEVER EVEN GIVE YOU UPDATES ON YOUR CHILDRENS DAYS, AND I HEARD THEM SCREAMING AT THE OLDER CHILDREN ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION.
THEY TRAUMATIZED MY CHILDREN AND STOLE FROM US AT CHRISTMAS. STEER CLEAR.
