I�ve lived in 8 apartments around the US in the past 7 years. This moving company has been the worst experience I�ve ever had. When I first booked, the woman I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I received an estimate and signed a contract online. The day of the move, my husband waited during and after the time slot for movers to arrive. At the end of the estimated time slot, my husband called the company and they said they were backed up and would arrive later that day. When we asked why they didn�t let us know, we were told this happens all the time and he didn�t want to call us at two o clock in the morning when the back up occurred. So why did we not receive a call in the morning? He had no response but apologized and said it was common. Later in the day we called again and he said he was sending 4 men instead of 3 in an hour or two from a city an hour away. That night we called again and were told the truck was broken down and the rep said he was the only one who could fix it. He promised us he would have a crew there the next morning by 10am. The next morning my husband had to call out of work to wait for the supposed movers. They did not show up. He called at 10am but the rep did not pick up or call back. The rep later texted my husband and asked him to call back because he was on another call. He offered a 15% discount and my husband said he wanted to pay cash. The rep said he wanted to cancel the job unless we paid up front because he was afraid we wouldn�t pay and that it happens all the time. I reminded him that I signed a contract that says we do not have to pay until the job is done. He told me I never signed a contract and that it was only an agreement. I asked him to read the email again and he was silent for several minutes while he realized I did sign a contract. When I told him per the contract that we would pay cash after the job was done, he told me no and that he wanted to cancel the job. I am a reasonable person. I am highly educated. I am a teacher for heavens sake. I do not expect perfection. I understand things happen, but this is completely unnacceptable and someone needs to be held accountable. We are now forced to pay DOUBLE for a last minute moving company because this employee refused to honor our contract. Until I receive a fair and reasonable response from Special Ops moving, I will spend MY time sharing my story with every review website, local newspaper, friend, family member, or anyone else who is considering using this company. I have never needed to complain to a company like this. I have literally never written a bad review for a company before today. I find no joy in holding others accountable in this way, but feel I have no other choice. If Special Ops moving would like to resolve the situation by crediting me a reasonable amount to help compensate the damage they�ve caused and hundreds of extra dollars this move has costed my family, I would be more than happy to take down this review, or alter it to reflect their cooperation. I respect companies who try to make things right. So far, that has not happened.

I hired two movers for two hours and they did an excellent job at a competitive price. The movers were efficient, careful and professional at all times. Overall, would hire again.

They made everything so easy! We had several different drop locations, and had to move things in a couple different phases, and it all went so smoothly because they're very professional. Tony was a great crew leader - so fast, nice, and focused. Maurice was so kind and patient doing my complicated walk through. He made it much easier. I highly recommend his moving company!!
