Amazing experience with The Door Store! I’m currently in the process of remodeling one of my properties, I worked with Skip and couldn’t be happier with the end result! Outstanding customer service. I will be recommending them to all my friends, family and colleagues. Keep up the good work you gained a lifetime client. Thank you so much!

The gentlemen at The Door Store were patient with me while I looked through all their door and hardware options and the install guys were very polite and professional. I'm very happy we purchased our doors through them instead of a big box store!

The owner is insanely rude and they're not interested in working with you. It's the same customer experience as a convenience store - TERRIBLE!

Don't be misled: look at all the 1 STAR REVIEWS they have. If it would let me I would give them ZERO STARS.

You shouldn't have to bribe customers with restaurant gift cards to get them to post positive reviews.

I purchased a front door for our new house from the Door Store. The door arrived on time and remained at the store for several months until our contractor was ready to install it. My contractor picked up the door, and it was painted and installed in about 5 days. Six months later the door panels have separated and the door is severely cracked. I called them for help and they claimed they had no responsibility, even though the door had a one year warranty. My contractor later called and got the same runaround. There rest of the doors in our house were Trustile and they had great post sale service. The comparison was stark!! Bottom line they don't stand behind their products; I will never buy from them again!!

CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE!
DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER. LOOK AT THE WARRANTY. THEY WANT TO CHARGE $125 TO COME OUT TO LOOK AT AN $8,000 DOOR THEY INTALLED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO THAT DOES NOT LATCH!! UNSCRUPULOUS!

I have now purchased a total of 4 different doors (2 sets of french doors with the blinds inside the glass) with this company. They have been SO PROFESSIONAL, reliable, neat, friendly, and their products are wonderful. I purchased double front doors that are SPECTACULAR! My neighbors' have asked for their business card. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't use any other company!

We are very happy with our new front entry door and we had a very pleasant experience with The Door Store. We went to The Door Store on a Saturday morning and we were helped by Skip who spent a lot of time walking us around the showroom, showing and explaining different options (we had no idea what we wanted) and sat down with us to show us a huge 3-ring binder of completed/installed doors that were similar to what we decided on. They had a great selection, lots of in-store samples, millions of options in terms of finishes, hardware, glass options, etc. Skip even spent time to show me their very nice in-house staining/finishing booth and some doors that were finished similarly to ours.

They scheduled a time to come up to our house to do a measurement and they charged a fee I believe was reasonable for that type of service, especially given the distance our house is away from their location. Although they did have a scheduling issue with the first appointment that I was made aware of at the exact time we were to meet, they were very accommodating with a reschedule and the owner himself came to our house for the rescheduled appointment and was very apologetic about the pervious scheduling issue, was very polite and easy to work with. These things happen so I took it with a grain of salt.

The door took slightly longer to come in then I originally anticipated, however nothing extreme. Skip called to follow up when the door arrived at their location, and their installation individual (I didn't catch her name) was nice about following up both via phone and email regarding our installation.

The day of installation went well too, especially given the additional construction that was involved prior to our install. The two installers were very accommodating. The two installers seemed very flexible and skilled and the installation was beautiful. They could't do some of the trim work on the interior of the house because of some construction changes we had made (drywall needed to be replaced first, etc) but they cut all the trim pieces, labeled each, penciled in where they should go and showed me that they fit. They even left me with some of the nail hole filler to make sure everything matched. I was very happy with their installation.

We had nothing but a great experience with The Door Store. The door is beautiful, service/sales was good and the installation was perfect. I would recommend to a friend.

I had a wonderful experience working with Angela at the Door Store. We were looking for hardware for our new home and she put together a complicated order quickly. Communication was professional and timely. When I made a mistake she helped resolve it with minimal cost to me. Thanks Angela!

Quite possibly the worst customer service (or lack of ) ever received! Can't imagine how Skip Leimeister at the Door Store was ever hired for sales when he clearly has an attitude problem. He made it very apparent that I was an inconvenience and that my project (replacing an interior door) would probably bring in little to no commission. He threw a few brochures down on the counter, scribbled my email address on a flimsy piece of paper then assured me that he would email me a quote within minutes. !0 days later and 4 conversations... still NO estimate. Has made up several excuses for his lack of follow through. Wow!! I will never refer anyone I know to the Door Store. They truly deserve ZERO stars!

We are happy with the door we selected and extremely satisfied with the service we received from The Door Store. The one stop shopping concept worked really well for us, and when there was an issue with installation of the incorrect casing, we were impressed with how quickly The Door Store resolved the problem. We would recommend The Door Store and use their services in the future without hesitation.

The Door Store installed a beautiful front door for us, I am very happy with it. My only complaint is we have this new beautiful front door, and they slap the old ugly door bell on and crooked no less. Maybe they could have suggested we run out and get a new one before they drill the holes (crooked) for the old one.

I wish I'd seen the reviews on here before talked to The Door Store. In my opinion they are unprofessional and you should avoid doing business with them. I was looking for a couple of replacement doors and was referred to The Door Store to assist in matching the style and color. The Door Store base door prices were three times that of competitors, however the competitors did not offer stain match services (which come at an additional cost). I spoke Skip Leimeister and another sales gentleman who gave me Owner Tom Boutin's card as his own that assured me if I purchases doors elsewhere they'd still stain match those doors for me at a $125 premium each (which they wrote on an informal piece of paper for me). So I purchased the doors elsewhere and, as agreed, I returned to have The Door Store stain match them. However The Door Store refused and stated I'd have to repurchase the doors thru them. My decisions were based on the agreements we made and information provided by The Door Store so I was very angry (doors are not cheap) and asked for the Manager or Owner to return my call so I could provide him with the written information from his associates. It is now 8 months later and despite multiple calls, I have yet to get any response from The Door Store. The reviews are correct people, The Door Store has horrible customer service and just plain do not care about the position they put people in. AVOID THE DOOR STORE!

The Door Store is a one-stop shop! They helped me find the right door for my house, were very knowledgeable on their product and the time frame was what they promised! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for doors!

The Door Store was the right choice for us when we ordered our new front door and back door. From the moment we walked into the beautiful show room to the clean up at our install The Door Store was a smooth process from A-Z! My wife and I didn’t know there was so much to getting our doors replaced. We were told 6-8 weeks and they got the job done within that time frame! We got to pick our doors, stain, and hardware all at once, saving me plenty of headaches trying to figure it out on my own! Skip showed us around the facility reassuring the quality of their doors, from their showroom to paint booth, these guys mean business! They were friendly and professional the whole way through! From the measure to installation they were on time and made sure to meet our scheduled appointments. We weren’t able to put a sign in our yard because of our HOA but we recommend them to our friends and neighbors. We love the compliments we receive on our GORGEOUS front door.

We needed a front door for a long time now. We were looking for it for a while a finally found a beautiful one, just what we wanted, at the Door Store. We were excited that the price was very reasonable, all in one package, and the service was great. Skip, a sales person, was helping us, and I can tell you, he made this whole process of getting a new door so pleasant and easy. I would defiantly recommend this place to all our friends and those who are looking for a new front door, or any other doors.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! We spent nearly $6,000 with The Door Store Denver to purchase a front entry door with sidelights and a wood and reeded glass kitchen door. If I had bought my doors from Home Depot or Lowes and spent half of what I spent with The Door Store Denver, I’d still not expect to be treated as the “ungrateful inconvenience” that the owner of the store made my wife and I to feel. There was the issue with being told that the install would be on the 20th or 21st of May, when I was clear with the sales rep that the door had to be installed by the first week of May which was fully agreed to. This was quickly rectified and certainly an honest mistake, but was still a frustration. Next came the morning the installers showed up with the entry door and sidelights, but without the kitchen door. The door was finished but it was left behind. It was explained that there was a miscommunication from The Door Store Denver. Frustrating, but the door would be installed on Tuesday after further discussion. Tuesday comes with great anticipation, when the owner delivers the door and then storms out of my house blaming my wife for having a bad attitude, when all she expected was for the door to be delivered and hung. His solution was to refund our money and be done with us. I ordered the door because I wanted the door. This wasn’t a throw in or a half thought out purchase. In fact, that door was $600 alone. Again, this was the result of botched communication at The Door Store Denver. Next, Wednesday arrives with the expectation of the install, but the door was cut too large for the opening so it had to be shaved on both sides because the owner measure the opening incorrectly. The final result was that the door needed to be shaved on both sides, removing the refinished paint job, and then painted with a brush to finish the edges and fix touch ups on the front and back, leaving me with a cheaply looking finished product. It kind of looks like it has a bad case of eczema or acne. This is clearly an eyesore to our brand new door but this is what they left us with. All we did was order two highly expensive doors, anxiously await the installs, paid nearly six thousand dollars, and have been frustrated and made to feel at fault for all the issues that have occurred. We ordered, we paid, we waited, we expected quality as a result of working with a prestigious company, and we have been frustrated ever since. I asked for a new door to be ordered and cut correctly to size before being painted. Second, I asked that the door be painted in their dust free spray environment so that all imperfections are sanded out and the final finished product looked new. Third, I asked that the door be installed for free to replace the door that was previously installed. As a sign of goodwill I asked that the owner provide some credit for the mistreatment, inconveniences, and poor quality of the final finished product that was installed. Shock… there has been no response or follow-up from the store. AVOID THE DOORSTORE OF DENVER. There are far more reputable stores to work with and they offer the same products.

Customer Service Is Awful

Upon ordering the product it was to be available for pickup in 2-3 weeks, that quickly turned into 4 then 5 then 6. No phone calls from them to ever explain the delay instead I initiated all contact to find out the issues. After then picking it up, driving home (mind you I live 2 hours outside of Denver) they had forgot to send me with the brick modeling and come to find out the sidelight was installed on the wrong side. The hits just keep coming because their possible resolutions to the problem are less than ideal for the cost of the doors being almost $1000 over estimate and for the distance traveled. Less than 1 star would be a better rating. And check their F rating on the BBB website.
