John and Bob Hecht opened the company; John with his real estate license in mid-1970 and Bob attaining his license in May 1971. The first office was a rather humble building; John and Bob bought a 3 bedroom, 1 bath mobile home, and rented the first space on the right as your entered Alley Cat Park, located on Hwy. 73 in Lincoln County, midways between Cowans Ford Dam and Hwy. 16. The first space allowed a 4x4 sign near the road, advertising Hecht Realty, Inc.
