My three children are all patients of Denville Pediatrics for several years now, and my wife and I love the practice, staff, and facilities. It's nice that a practice that is local and convenient has a group approach and first class expertise, so that while we have our normal doctor that handles scheduled appointments, we are completely comfortable with the other doctors and nurses on staff that can see in an emergency. Dr. Dana in particular, is a caring and extremely competent professional with an exceptional "bedside" manner and demeanor.
Our kids are put at ease thanks to the accommodations at the facility. Everything from bright colors to the games and jungle gym in the waiting room helps make the youngest patients help feel at ease. Some of the check-up rooms are a bit cramped, but they are all painted with nice scenic murals that serve to help distract the kids.
We also appreciate that the staff will explain to us options and recommendations without trying to force things on us or push unnecessary treatments. That a number of the staff are parents themselves gives them a very human perspective as well.
We've been fortunate that our family enjoys relatively good health, but we are confident that Denville Pediatrics represents a wonderful and capable practice to help care for our children.

Both our kids (7 & 5) have been going here since birth. Haven't had any issues. There have been a few staff changes over the years and we've been disappointed to see some of the doctors go but every doctor we dealt with have been great. The nurses are good too and the front staff I would rate slightly lower. Kids look forward to going so they can play in the play area.

The nicest thing that can be said is the doctors are mediocre. I assume they passed a test somewhere at some point. Other than that, this is the single worst doctors office I have ever encountered. Denied service to my 1 month old son because we refused to fill out a credit card form that is there "policy." Mind you, we have insurance - good insurance at that - but it takes 2 weeks to get a birth certificate and another month to have him activated on the plan. They brought him in, had us take him down to his diaper, weigh, measure and then have the audacity to deny him because of this credit card form. They have no comprehension, or very poor maybe, of how insurance plans work, and then assume that you will pay them for their incompetence. Needless to say, horizon bcbs, was horrified to hear of this (as one would expect). In addition to being poorly educated, the office staff is rude and untrained and neglect to inform you of any pertinent infomation. The office manager is no better, but provides no satisfaction.

So let us go over this again -

1. 1 month brought in, taken down to diaper weighed and measured.

2. Then informed that is is office policy to require a credit card because he's not on insurance yet (of course he isnt. He is one month old).

3. Say he cannot be seen with out form

4. Office manager attempts to improve relationship by saying they hardly ever charge the credit cards.

5. End.

It is understandable to require a credit card if people are constant issues with payment. We have not been. Then to deny service to, potentially good customers and a one month old, Is outrageous. This establishment should be embarassed. Calls and complaints have been made to BBB, QIO, consumer affairs, and horizon to make sure they receive zero compensation for their behavior.

You would be better off taking your child to the vet.

Your child will just be a number!!!

At first impressions this office was great! However, the doctors cancel appointments on you often with very little notice. They are also not very accommodating with rescheduling. After having my appointment canceled twice in a row I called there office manager to figure out a solution. Needless to say I'm still waiting on a call back from her three weeks later. I value my child and his health, I don't feel that this office has there Patients best interests at heart.
