Gentle Dentistry's Lancaster office attempted to give me an unnecessary root canal 3 years ago. They waited until my tooth was drilled and open before telling me I needed it. I refused the procedure and insisted on a filling even though the dentist tried to talk me out of it. Well one year later the filling is cracked. I went to another dentist, who said the filling cracked because it wasn't done properly. Also the cavity was not deep and a root canal was never necessary. Do not go here. Their ethics are severely lacking. Three years later the tooth is great. Gentle Dentistry lied to me to make money. Stay away.

All they care about is $$$$.Not the patient!!!Everyonne needs a root canel and a crown. Do not go there!! Unless you have a lot of $$$$

My husband had been going to this office for about two years. Before his first appointment he had not been to the dentist in some time...however after going they told him there were many things wrong with his teeth and gums (totally understandable). He was told to do everything from using prescription mouthwash, to getting cavities filled. They also wanted him coming back every THREE MONTHS (co-pay after co-pay, charge after charge).

More recently they told him his mouth was looking much better UNTIL his last appointment.

The dentist was "concerned" with the amount of bleeding during his exam and told my husband they had narrowed down the cause..."LEUKEMIA OR DIABETES." They said he needed to go to a doctor immediately, go BACK on the prescription mouthwash and have TWO MORE cavities filled.

I had enough - if they had been seeing him every three months for the last two years, there should NOT have been so many problems. So he switched to my TRUSTED dentist. Well guess what? NO PROBLEMS with his mouth at all. Everything looked normal, NO cavities, NO gum issues.

GENTLE DENTISTRY TOLD HIM HE HAD LEUKEMIA OR DIABETES with NO actual information to back it up. They were also trying to schedule him to do work on two cavities that DID NOT EXIST in addition to making him pay more for the special mouthwash, etc.

We were also told by my trusted dentist that they were charging us for EXTRA things that SHOULD ALREADY BE included in a regular examination, like cancer screening, etc.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY TAKE YOUR MONEY OR LIE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH TO GET MONEY FROM YOU OR YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.

We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau AND the NYS Professional Misconduct Enforcement.

I've been a paitent here for years. The staff is really friendly and professional, and the facilities are very high tech. My latest visit was a routine cleaning and checkup, and I couldn't be more happy with the service.

Great team. Had an issue over the weekend with a molar and thought I was out of luck. I called to leave a message and discovered the emergency help service Gentle Dentistry offers at any time. Wow! Got a call back right away and was taken in by a doctor that same day. Can't beat that. I've heard nothing but good comments about Gentle from several other associates who work with me in d.t. I really LOVED my experience at Gentle Dentistry!!! Never thought I would write a review on a dentist, but honestly, these guys are the BEST.

They were SO nice, SO gentle, and truly affordable. I have the best smile now because I went there. I had a lots of work done - root canals, extractions, and even an implant. I topped it all off with whitening and I LOOK AND FEEL GREAT. I RECOMMEND GENTLE DENTISTRY TO EVERYONE.

I received the most thorough cleaning I've had in years, from a very friendly and knowledgeable technician. Very nice and modern office.
