Absolutely terrible. Apparently under new ownership. Saying they nickel and dime you doesn't quite say it. They $50 and $100 bill you. They raised all their service fees, which they were up front about. What they are not up front about is all of the added fees that wind up on your bill the day of service. I was shafted on my pool opening and closing. They give you a price for the opening and they take a deposit. I asked multiple times if there were any other fees and they told me there were not. When I get my bill the day of the opening there's $110 of extra charges on there for a Nature2 cartridge. Something they know you're going to need ahead of time, but don't want you buying online for $50. So they lie to you about the cost and then put it on your bill. They also had to come back to fix a leak on the filter as they did not secure the hoses correctly and that was only after I withheld payment for 2 weeks. They wanted to charge me extra to correct their mistake. I call them to close the pool and again there are extra charges they did not tell me about. First off, they added a charge for travel and said that I am out of their service area, although they knew where I lived when I scheduled the closing. They've been here many times. The previous owners of the home used them every year. I also find it suspicious that they needed to replace 6 water bags when I just happen to not be home to monitor the pool closing since they said they are only in my area on Thursdays. They are the ones that removed the bags and packed them in my shed back in May and 6 of them needed to be replaced? I find that highly unlikely. So my service charge jumped from a quoted $250 to $375. These people are crooks and I am NEVER using them again. Instead of paying a quoted $500 for their services I wound up paying $750.

I had a inground pool liner installed June 2009. We now 6 years later need to install another liner because the liner is absolute crap. The liner has had about 20 holes and is actually pulling away from the drain at the bottom of the pool. We have put more money into fixing the holes and refilling the water then we actually spent on the liner which was over $1200. We attempted to contact Budds pools about the problem just to be told that the warranty is not included for tears and holes in the liner And that it must be man made. There are no glass or rocks by the pool!! There is no reason the liner is getting as many holes as it is, other than it is a cheap piece of vinyl. I guess I'm screwed. It is march and I have already had the hose in the pool twice this winter Because of water loss. If I could stop the next family before they waste their money I would! Thanks for nothing Budds pools!

Not good

They were disappointing. Their pool opening was poorly done and required the service of another pool service to complete. Communications within their office regarding my services were poor.
I thought the rates were reasonable but the opening was such that there would be large fees and according to them, many hours of labor, to get the pool in swim condition.
Once the pool was vacuumed and chlorinated by the other service, it was fine.

Great job installing new pool, however, follow-up service was horrible!! Hope your pool has no problems once installed else you'll be stuck with un-returned calls and poor communication from the sales and services reps!!! Seems like Budd's is mainly interested in installing new pools! I've been waiting NINE months for a warranty issue and am still waiting!!!
