Had a great experience in learning about sissy bar fabricating. Very easy to deal with and far beyond the best prices I have seen anywhere. Had him build me a backrest with a hand flipping you off that can be see from the rear. AWESOME!!!

I had an idea to get a custom sissy bar fabricated about 5 months ago. My first idea was to have a life-like, fully scaled throwing dagger inserted into the top area of the bar. I had looked on the internet with no success for about a 3 month period, on and off. Finally, I came across some good solid and proud reviews of this JD Custom Fabrication shop in western Pennsylvania. I actually sent them an email versus calling because I've heard they are quite busy doing world wide business. Sure enough, not even 3 hours after sending my first inquiry, a guy by the name of John, turns out to be the main guy there, replied with all the information I needed to obtain. It was quite simple to be down right honest. He let me choose any style from their store, then asked for the height I would like it to be. I said around 20" with this dagger somewhere towards the top. Just like that, he provided a quick and accurate quote (which was unheard of at the other shops I asked the same question to). I soon decided they were the people for the job and he prepared my invoice in an expedient manner. I paid over PayPal, which was great because they offer buyer protection in case something were to go wrong, and was able to use my credit card. The time it took to receive my sissy bar, as customized as I wanted it, was under 2 months.

Now I've used fabrication shops before, both local and over the internet for my bike and truck alike so I have a little experience with lead times. This was by far the fastest turnaround time I've had AND it was done PERFECTLY, the first time. I didn't have to send it back like this grill guard I had made a couple years ago... I was very surprised with the detail orientation. Their claims of handcrafting their products, one item at a time is very true. I can't imagine ever finding another sissy bar as unique and good looking as mine. Everywhere I go, people ask, "where did you get that?! I want one!" Hahaha... Sometimes I tell them, and sometimes I take most of the credit. They are definitely good people to deal with and I'm in the works of designing another sissy bar to swap this one out with depending on the style I'm going for that week.

Seven weeks after purchase, these guys were still alsking questions and would not deliver, set a delivery date or even draw up and idea of what they were going to deliver. 9 weeks after order they said no refund, no product and I had to get my money back by calling PayPall. These guys spend to much time typing and not enough time working.
