First off, let me say that I have never before written a bad review. I have bought furniture paintings and other things at the store before, with no issues whatsoever. Last Friday when I stopped in to Kaboodle, I saw a small orange couch - which had only been in the shop for one day - marked for sale at $250. I liked the couch and was interested in purchasing it, but I needed to make sure that it would fit into my very small den, so I asked the sales person to measure the couch for me, which she did. I went home that night, measured my den, and decided that the couch would fit. I called caboodle the next morning to say that I was going to pick up the couch at 4 PM that day and would like them hold the couch for me. Although they said they don't hold items anymore, I could charge it over the phone. I was then told, " The price of the couch is now $475." Wait, what? They obviously decided that they had underpriced the item, so Kaboodle NEARLY DOUBLED the price of the couch, after already having priced it on the showroom floor for $250. Completely unacceptable business practice! I will not be shopping there again.

I have been shopping consignment stores for many years and have a few favorites in Montgomery County.

Kaboodle is the best for furniture, in fact, just about the only one left in business. The selection is Top Shelf!!

They accept beautiful, high quality pieces for the home and a few surprises, too. Prices are definitely fair, especially for the quality carried. Visit often and you will see how quickly pieces sell. The staff is great, all mature professionals, willing to help.
