Unprofessanial

My husband and I had 6 estimates to get a new furnace and get central air added. Out if the 6 Bell brothers spent the least amount of time. The tech said they would have to put new vents on our ceiling since they could not fit in our attic. My 6 ft 3 in husband has been in the attic many time in the 30 years of owning the property. They stated that they could not use our vets since they were in concrete. They are not, they are in the new section that is not on concrete slab. When I made comment in there web site the gentleman who came out responded. This is when he wrote the comments about what would need to be done.

All 6 companies are well known in the Des Moines area. We went with another company and are very pleased with the service and work they did. Bell Brothers is one I would advise against using.

Consistent and quality service

When I moved to Des Moines five years ago from Florida, I was anxious about living in a furnace-oriented world. My home had a 22-yr-old furnace as well as an old air conditioner. To make sure that they worked properly, I hired Bell Bros. to come out for an annual inspection and maintenance (it's about $80 and they make sure your air/furnace are in good shape, basically a lube for your furnace). They were always honest, did the work, never tried to sell me a furnace when mine worked fine. Then, when I was having problems my furnace (of course, in December), they came out and told me, "We can change this switchboard for $250 but eventually it will go out again because it's a mechanical problem." Again, no pressure, but I chose to purchase a new furnace with them, and they put a rush on it because of the time of year. The installers were professional, congenial and did a great job. A+
