That the doctors and staff have always treated me and addressed my concerns well. However, I do feel that they need to do something about their Dental clinic. My husband has been down there early in the am these past two days to see the dentist and both times he wasn't able to. The first time he was turned away because they needed proof he lived here in Des Moines. He has been a patient at Broadlawns for the past 6 months and that was verified. They could have easily checked their computers , but they didn't. My husband was down there two hours just for them to not only turn him down for treatment, but the lady at the desk was absolutely rude. I got the paperwork that they wanted to see and he went back up early this morning. Again, he couldn't see the dentist because she then said that he had to pay a co-payment each time he came in which we didn't have. So again, he couldn't be seen. And it isn't just my husband, there are others complaining. They don't schedule appointments; its on a first come, first seen basis. This is just not right that these people have to be up so early (up to an hour before the doors open) to be seen by the doctor. And if they have a large line there, there are many that are turned away and have made a wasted trip. They really need to change this rule of theirs. They need to schedule appointments instead of this walk-in because many of these people cannot afford to make these trips all the time. They also need to have more dentists than just the one. And last of all, they really need to make sure that their staff is a bit more courtious to their patients.
