My wife and I ate here the other day, food overpriced, the bread had been setting around to long, the top was hard, cut the top off and ate the bottom, salad bar was average nothing to brag about!!

Recently my wife and I were visiting relatives in the Des Moines, Iowa area from Oklahoma. We found that your establishment was an extremely wonderful place to dine. The quality and amount of food was unmatched from anything in our home state. The service was unbeatable, and the manager, Kerry, and the bartender, Kirk, are very friendly. The waitress, whose name slips our mind, but she served us with speed, accuracy, and friendly. The salad bar by far was the best one that we have ever eaten. My wife had the chicken fetticine alfredo, and I had the prime rib, and they were prepared just right and served to us hot; it was better than what we have received in Oklahoma. We look forward to coming back to your place and dine the next time we are in Des Moines, Iowa.

Had my first margarita there when I was 18 over 30 years ago and they still have the best margaritaSalad bar is great - always fresh, variety, and always have my favorites - I'd be so disappointed if I get there some day and they don't have the crab pasta salad or corn relish. Luckily it's never happened.Steaks have substantially improved in the last few months - maybe they cleaned their grill??? I'd now give them 4 out of 5 starts on their steaks vs 2 out of 5 before.For any reason to celebrate this is where my family always wants picks.I have NEVER had bad serviceGreat place for lunch - fast, smaller/less expensive entrees, but still the great salad bar

I could write about this place for hours, but I won't bore the reader. Just eat there, eat ANYTHING there. The salad bar, the prime rib, the steak de Burgo, the salmon with the incredible sauce, the pasta, yadda yadda yadda. You will not be diappointed.

We've been going to Chicago Speakeasy for YEARS! And have never once had bad food or service. We hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

If you love salad bars, then this is the place for you. Plenty of different types of salads to pick from and they are all good. The steaks and such are not outstanding, but good enough to accompany the salad bar.
