I have had mixed results with American Prosthetics over the years. The UIHC in Iowa City location has excellent technicians but the receptionist gets agitated very easily. It was embarrassing when she was rude to me and other patients in the waiting area. She really threw a gasket in front of everyone when I showed up with the wrong prescription form. I switched to the Muscatine avenue location in Iowa City. They have outstanding, friendly staff but last year it took over three months to get in a pair of shoes. This year a pair of shoes was put on order June 9 and it is September 14 and they still have not arrived. You’d think they’d vet their vendors a stitch better.
