The Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) provides door to door transit services in the counties of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story and Warren. All rides are open to the general public, including persons with disabilities. 100% of the HIRTA vehicle fleet is ADA-accessible and in accordance with the Iowa Smokefree Air Act of 2008, meaning HIRTA Public Transit does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, disability, religion, color, sex or national origin and smoking is prohibited on all HIRTA vehicles.
