I was very impressed with the family business, and plan on supporting them as long as they are in business. I will gladly support them over ANY big box store !

I am on a fixed income. I was given a used TV but could not get it programmed to work with indoor antenna. A friend offered to pay for a service call and suggested I call Travis as that is who she uses for her TV. They were very rude, not listening to me, talking over me, etc. They wanted me to bring the TV in...OK...but how would that work with me not getting reception from the antenna? The guy continued to be nasty. I told him that I could now understand the poor customer reviews they were getting online. He then told me "that's because we are wasting time dealing with people like YOU"!I hung up and reported the conversation to my friend and will be spending my spare time (since I can't watch tv) posting negative reviews wherever I can find a place to do so!Suggestion...be very clear in your ads you only service what you sell!!!

My wife and I were interested in upgrading our home theater and visited Traviss Audio Video on 7/18/14, specifically to see what projectors they carried and to inquire if they sold home theater seats. We arrived ~ 20min before closing and directed out inquiry to an elderly guy behind the counter. His first response was to look at his watch. He grudgingly took us to the demo room where he proceeded to give the most negative sales pitch I've ever heard. He was unfriendly, condescending and unhelpful and literally refused to demonstrate the one model projector they had in store. He kept harking about the price, assuming that we were unable to afford anything in the store acting as if we were wasting his time when in truth it was the other way around. Any business willing to treat potential customers this way in this economy are simply not worth the time of day.

I have been purchasing all my Electronics from this Store for many Years. We all should know why they are STILL doing business & over 25 small stores have either closed Or went out of business. Very knowledgeable & customer oriented. Small business are the back bone of this country. Buy from them--Steve Smith

I have always bought from Traviss and have always been very happy with the sales staff and with service I have received.

A word of advice for Traviss employees, the internet is a wealth of knowledge and people do research things before maybe stopping into your store. Do yourselves a favor and don't treat potential customers like idiots.That said, I still will not buy from this place, and as others have said, it all boils down to the most rude and arrogant sales people i have ever dealt with. Basically, if you don't come into buy immediately, they want nothing to do with you, and don't really feel like even talking with you either.If they do, and you show even one ounce of knowledge, they go on the defensive and basically can't wait for you to get out. Will go so far as to just start walking away from you obviously disgusted because they know that you know some of what they are saying might be BS and that you are not necessarily ready to shell out money right then and there.Not really sure how this place continues to stick around, but I have re-confirmed why I will never buy a damn thing from this place....ever. I won't recommend it to anyone either. Wish I could have gone 0 stars

I have been buying TVs from Traviss forever. Great service. Great prices. They really know what they are doing. Recently took a 1951 Packard Bell radio and a late 60's Magnavox radio to Traviss for repair. I didn't think either one could be fixed. Traviss made them both as good as new.

I purchased a TV and sound board from Travis TV. The salesman was very helpful. He didn't try to get me to buy a T V that was too big for my space. It was delivered by two men who were friendly and polite. They completed the job in a professional manner and answered the questions I had. They even helped me move the heavy wall that was moved back into place.

I bought my last TV 15 years ago from Travis and now I remember why I went back. After searching the big retailers I went back to Travis to find that he was $200 dollars cheaper than the competition. They also don't carry a lot what I call fluff, it is ether good quality goods or they don't carry it. Besides that, they don't sell washer and dryers, refrigerators, or cameras, they sell TV's. I think this why they can provide better pricing and customer service. Travis also sold me an outstanding Yamaha sound projector that still has me telling everyone about it. I highly recommend Travis.

Horrible customer service/support! The manager couldn't have been more rude and even when I said, "Wow, Google warned me that your service was poor" the manager said "Everyone knows those are a joke" and hung up on me! Stay away!!!

I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THE TRAVISS FAMILY FOR OVER 30 YRS AND ALWAYS GOTTEN THE BEST DEALS. THEY COME OUT AND SET EVERYTHING UP AND EXPLAIN HOW TO USE IT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I was surprised that their prices were lower than Best Buy, American and Sears. Traviss has the best service, even their competitors say so. I love buying local.

I believe their prices are the highest in the metro area. When I went in there for warranty service work, they were downright nasty to me. I had to talk to several people because they messed the work up. Every one of them had a confrontational attitude. When I discussed this with a friend, he told me that he, too, was treated very poorly and they were nasty to him on his warranty work. They didn't want to do the work because he bought it somewhere that is much cheaper. If they don't want to work on that brand, they should not have a contract with the manufacturer.There are many places in town to purchase and for service. This one was recommended by the manufacturer, but I won't go back for anything, ever. Even Best Buy people have a better attitude and that's sad.
