My daughter's friend recommended John Keeton to. He did a great job on her car, so when I had trouble I called him, too. I couldn't start my car. First he tried to find something easy (and inexpensive for me) that would solve the problem, like wiring. He did all his tests and determined that I needed a new starter. He took out my old one. I took it to a nearby auto parts store (my choice-he would have gone). They told me my starter was fine, and so I took it back to him. He informed me that the conditions of their test are not the same as the conditions of an actual car. But he put it back in for me. Of course, my car still didn't start. I took it back again and told them I wanted the new starter. Again I brought it to John, and he installed it. My car started like a charm. He did twice the amount of work but only charged an additional $20.



I had been having trouble for a long time with my car dying when I came to stops and accelerating slowly. Long ago I had taken it to two shops to see what they would say and the cost. One said I needed all new hoses (cost $300-$400). The other said I needed a tune-up (cost $400 on up).



The problem became bad a few months after my started, so I called John again. Again he came and did some tests. Again he looked for the least expensive option for me. This time it turned out to be 2 of my fuel injectors weren't working. He quoted me $230 for the fuel injectors, but when he did the work he only charged $200 because he said it took him less time than he had quoted for.



When my daughter bought a new car, she had to install a new drive belt, and he did this work as well.



John Keeton is both competent and honest. What's cool is that he shows you why he says what is wrong with your car. For example, he showed me how he knew it was the fuel injectors that weren't working. I highly recommend him
