I come to Destin every quarter and now I won't miss the chance to have a facial with Allyson. Yesterday I had my second. She really takes her time with the micro planing and uses infrared to boost collagen growth. She also uses her own products, and the moisturizer is amazing. The salon is impeccably decorated and the atmosphere is soothing. For the service received, I think the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

It is very clear from a few of these reviews that they were clients looking for a free service.. You can check out the Facebook page Allyson Salon and Spa on all the satisfied clients and have been so for years.. Personal vendettas are done on these sites, former employees, spouses, etc.. It's pretty sad how evil and mean people will stoop just to get something for free.. They are the same ones that will go in a restaurant and complain EVERY TIME and get a free meal.. Crazy!!

I went to Allyson Salon & Spa in Destin, FL and asked for a balayage.. My hairdresser, Ashley, went over what I wanted and said she could achieve the requested look. I had 2 pictures I showed her. After 3 hours, she finished and curled it. It look so pretty, I was happy. The following morning, I straightened my hair and noticed all the lines and botchy color job. I called and they got me in to try and fix my hair. She couldnt achieve that either, and kept insisting different things. I was too nervous to let her keep messing up my hair, so I told her to just color it all brown. 5 days later, My hair is starting to fade back to what she did. I now have damaged hair and am forced to color it AGAIN to fix it. I emailed the owner and she refuses to give me a refund for the color portion of my surprisingly HEFTY payment, because "I left the salon happy with my brunette hair." I just wish the hair stylist was honest with me and inform me that she couldn't achieve the look I was going for. The owner informed me that the previous color that was there couldnt be completely removed, which was just their way of telling me that they arent capable of blending. I paid over $300 for something I could have gotten at a cosmetology school for free. I dont recomend this salon.

Went in for root touch up and a FEW lowlight, I had bright blonde hair. Left with mouse brown hair after being told it would lighten up after a few days. Went and immediately got it re done at a salon I was used to. After calling the owner and asking for a partial refund (of the $140 price for partial highlight) she told me I did not handle it right and she would only offer store credit. Very unprofessional and will not be coming back. All they care about it the money in their pocket. Now I am $240 out and my blonde hair still isn't completely fixed.

I've been a customer of Allyson Salon and Spa for years and never had a bad experience. Allyson and her staff are professional, friendly, and well-qualified. I've had a number of treatments done there - hairstyling, pedicures, facials, makeup, etc. and always left very happy. I highly recommend Allyson Salon and Spa to anyone looking for a quality experience.

I helped Allyson with Miss. Bona's hair color.She showed us a picture of how she wanted it. We consulted with each other after she left for 3 hours until she came back trying to decide what would be best to put on her hair. Her hair is bleach blonde,very porous, over processed, and fried. When she came for her appt at 3:30we consulted with her 15-20 mins. She told us Salon Salon turned her away and wouldn't do it. She said bc they told her they couldn't do it how she wanted without having some gold in her hair. She didn't want any gold,which is difficult to achieve when her roots are a level 3-4 and the rest is platinum (she didn't want anyone to use bleach on her roots ). So for #1: she comes in trying to tell us we HAVE to use her shampoo and conditioner on her hair! We are a full focus Paul Mitchell salon, we don't do that bc we can't guarantee the best results. #2: once we start doing the lowlights and it's done processing, were about to shampoo her, she asks how much longer. I said about an hour bc we have to do your roots next since they're so dark we don't want to miss anything. It's 4:50, she says she has to be at work at 5! No one does lowlights and a root touch up in 1 1/2 hours. #3: she wouldn't stay for us to finish what we started!! #4: once we started shampooing her hair, EVERY BIT of the color washed right off her hair completely! Which tells us if a platinum blonde doesn't soak up ANY color, her hair is coated with something!! And the whole time we was trying to figure out and ask her what, we caught her in a lie 3 different times. #5: Allyson said she'd make an another appt to see what we could do but that she recommends a treatment, not any color bc her hair can't take it.she said okay and left without paying, Allyson didn't charge her for anything! #6: after a day of all us stylists consulting about it,her hair, and her attitude, We decided it was best to cancel the color appt and we told her why and what we recommend. She came in later that day cussing Allyson out saying we "f***** up" her hair. Then she starts threatening Allyson AND her business! Allyson has been working in this business and with Paul Mitchell color for 28 years! She would never intentionally mess up a clients hair and not fix it. She was very polite to this client even after she was disrespected and she didn't charge her anything.

Hate to give negative review.. But I'm so disappointed with my mani/pedi. Ladies were nice and stylish so I slipped in before grocery shopping next door. Anyway OPI colors.. But not as many you'd hope to select from at a beach touristy place... So anyway my nails were not clipped evenly, nails not filed the same shape, my nails just didn't look nice and neat like they do after a mani and to top that off my toe nail coral color polish on my big toe was horrible line mark where color meets cuticle! I still had rough scaly heels. An hour later I couldn't even Telly heels had been scrubbed! If I'd had a big special event I would have maybe gone someplace to redo feet. I'm actually not too horribly picky and not a complainer but I was very dissatisfied for $65! I will look for another place next time in Destin.

The bad reviews about this place only confirms to me that they are competition trying to steal Allysons clients.My experiances there are absolutely the best any Salon has to offer in Destin!They highly trained professionals who enjoy giving their clients only the best services that are available anywhere in my opinion!Many of times I been there,I was treated with respect and never saw anyone treated bad! I want to thank all the staff that work there for being the kind and wonderful people they are!I get my hair done there and only there and just want to say you girls are the best!

Great place! My husband and I are on vacation and he needed a haircut. The lady's here were very nice and worked him right in. They did a great job on his hair. While I waited on him I was able to get my eye brows done! Great service!!

All the ladies at Allyson Salon Spa are talented perfectionists in what they do. I get so many compliments on my hair now that Diana is my hair stylist, and I love Liz's manicures and pedicures. They are the BEST!!! Allyson herself is such a good aesthetician. She makes having a facial a really relaxing, luxurious experience. The salon is a beautiful, fun place. You may arrive a stranger, but when you leave you'll have made some new and wonderful friends. Highly recommended.

I have been to so many salon's in Destin and have to say that Allyson Salon Spa is far the best of the best!!!! They make you feel right at home and definitely know their color and greatest styles in hair... You can tell that they keep up their education in hair. I also had the Diamond Radiance Facial with Allyson and have to say that I have traveled the world and it was by far the best facial I ever had, her dedication to her business and her services is evident.... I highly recommend that you visit this salon for the best experience, and service as well as great hospitality!!!! They have a Spring Promotion using Ally Bucks so I saved $$$ on my services too.

I drove by this salon and thought it looked nice from looking through the windows so i was gonna stop by and make an appt. I walked inside and no one was there to greet me, I looked around and after a few minutes a lady came around the corner and said oh can i help you, like i was a bother to her or something. I told her i wanted my hair colored and cut and she said she would have to make an appt because they were busy but when i looked around there was only two stylists in the whole building working and no other clients, that turned me off and i left..I wouldn't recomend anyone to stop in there unprofessional and not bust at all...Goof luck if you go there...
