Fun little beach restaurant. There's usually a wait. But you can hang out on the beach and take sunset family pictures while you wait. The food is great and so was the atmosphere. You can also hit up their bar while you lounge on the beach!

We are snowbirds arriving at Destin on Jan. 1st. Had fried shrimp basket for lunch today.All I can say DELICIOUS! The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood.

I got the lobster stuffed mahi mahi. It was excellent! My wife got the platter and had enough to bring home for lunch! Food quality and view were excellent

The fried seafood platter was great! The gumbo is really good! And the view is AWESOME!!!!! It's a great place to eat with friendly staff. This was recommended to us by a local and she was right.....wonderful food!!!

The Back Porch Cafe is one of a kind. Everything is handmade and original. Great value for the portions of a hungry eater. Outdoor seating refreshing from the norm in Old Town. For the 15 years I've been stopping in for everything from a relaxing glass of wine and crab cakes, to a Thanksgiving pie, I've never been disappointed with a breakfast or lunch. My favorite thank you to a friend is giving a gift certificate to this great eatery. Also can't remember how many parties/meetings I've held in the quaint, fire place warmed Stone House. Several of the catering events I've attended, which The Porch has served, have always been successful crowd pleasers. Congratulations, Mike Cooper, for providing Fort Collins with your unique business and dining experience. You need to offer cooking classes and write a cook book!

Nothing compares to the view and the delicious food! We spent a week in Destin and Seaside and came back to The Back Porch 3 times finding it our favorite restaurant in the Ft. Walton area. The Amberjack as an entree and orange cake as a dessert were fabulous! Destin, Santa Rosa, and Seaside have a vast array of restaurants with incredible fresh seafood, but the combination of the friendly service, spectacular view of the white sand and the Amberjack and other offerings make The Back Porch a "must visit" !

We ate at The Backporch the first night that we stayed in Destin. We stayed for an entire week and never found seafood that was that good. We ate at all the "famous" seafood dives, but nothing compared to The Backporch. A++++ Best Lobster that I have ever eaten.

My family ate at Back porch yesterday and was very sad. The oysters did not look like picture I found on line It looked like it had been shucked for days before it came to my table. It was over priced. $1.00 each oyster was really crappy for the price. The place was very fithy and nasty and the smelled it made me vommit. The gumbo was not what we expected as it is written on the menu. It was eatible but nothing more. We know for sure that we won't be there ever again.
