Alro Steel Corporation is a full line metals service center that distributes metals, industrial supplies and plastics. Alro sells products under the names: Alro Steel, Alro Metals Service Center, Alro Metals Plus, Alro Plastics, and Alro Industrial Supplies. Alro was started by Alvin and Robert Glick in 1948 in Jackson, Michigan. Today it has grown to over 60 locations in 12 states. Alro supplies cut-to-size metals and plastics along with thousands of industrial supplies. The metal inventory includes: carbon steel, aluminum, stainless, alloy steel, tool steel, brass, copper, bronze and cast iron. Shapes include round, square, hex, flat, pipe, tube, sheet, plate, angle, channel, beam, tee, grating, expanded metal, rebar and strapping.
