Located in Detroit, Think Detroit PAL is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 12,000 children anually with the help of over 1,400 volunteers. It offers athletic, academic and leadership development programs. The organization operates seasonal leagues, camps and clinics in more than 10 different sports areas, including football, volleyball, softball soccer, baseball golf and tennis. It also offers summer camps for middle school students. The organization operates several community centers that provide educational and recreational programs for children during non-school hours. Detroit PAL is funded by contributions from individual donors, foundations and corporations. Its programs promote responsibility, respect, integrity, perseverance and compassion among program participants.
