When our father came home from the hospital after suffering a stroke, we were already devastated by the changes our family had suffered. Now we were faced with giving him the best life possible while providing him a chance to live in the place he had known for 40 years – his own home. Our mother was more than willing to care for him, but she couldn’t do it alone. We needed to find a partner we could rely on; people who would be responsible, respect our father’s physical well-being, provide care equal to what we would give him and show our mother the support and companionship she needed to make it through her every day.

We found in Comfort Keepers the partnership we were seeking. Their professionalism from day one is unmatched by other home health organizations we tried. They have proven to be reliable and proactive. When issues come up, Comfort Keepers is often already taking care of the situation before we even have a chance to react. Over the last two years and the many challenges our family has endured, the home health professionals Comfort Keepers has provided to care for our father – and our mother when she became terminally ill – have been our cheerleaders, our confidantes, and our peacekeepers. Our father would not lead the enriched life that is part of his “new normal” if it weren’t for them. Thank you, Comfort Keepers, for all you have done!

I am writing this letter to inform you of my satisfaction with the young lady, Danielle Leverenz, who helped me when I returned home from the hospital after breaking my femur. I was given a choice when I signed up to have a woman in her late 40’s or a woman in her early 20’s. I thought about what I would be needing and also how reliable many young girls are. I went with my inner feelings and had a very young, and very caring, Mrs. Leverenz. I have never had to have assistance before and have always been on the other side caring for others. I am not the best person to accept help and my family did not think I would stay with anyone more than a few days. I was very disappointed with “Medicare” services which are covered, the Visiting Nurse was a waste of my time and Physical Therapy was so-so. I ended both early on. The one that delivered was Danielle, the personal care, she made what was impossible happen. Her care was the top of the profession. She is a very bright young lady that said early on, that anything I needed she would do. She did and even though I was doing well, I kept her longer. She is a true caregiver and Comfort Keepers are lucky to have her as an employee.

My 100 year old mother needed weekend care so we turned to Comfort Keepers. What a blessing they've been! Bryan and Dana made signing up for the service a breeze and we've been happy with all of the caretakers we've met. Highly recommend Comfort Keepers in the Ann Arbor Michigan area. A+++
