Provided by YP.comI ate at Red Mountain in Avon, CO last night before the fireworks. I was looking to have wonderful dinner with my husband, and as we walked in it looked promising. The hostess was witty and outgoing, and my husband was super stoked about all the t.v's playing sports! But unfortunately the awesomeness came to an screeching halt when our server arrived. No smile, no playful banter basically no personality at all. When I told him I was not quite ready to order, he left before I or my husband could ask about recommendations on food and good brews. As I looked through the menu, I realized there were absolutely no veggie options for me, which I am use to, but really? you can't throw a veggie wrap in there? So anywho, I settled on the chicken pasta minus the chicken---for $18.... The pasta wasn't bad, it was a decent $10 pasta, but I was expecting a $18 pasta because that's what I paid for it! Then it took the waiter 20 to 30 minutes to refill our waters.
All the time I am watching the waitress in the next section struggling to keep up with her 3 tables. One couple waited at their table for 20 minutes without being served until they said something, and the waitress still just walked away without taking drink orders. Another table was seated before us, and they waited about 20 minutes before they received their beers. Finally a manager came over to assist, and ended up waiting on all the tables, refilling drinks, clearing dirty dishes and asking everyone how their dinner was going. She was top notch manager, best I've ever seen or ever worked with. She deserves some serious recognition because she totally and completely turned those customer's nights around.
I won't necessarily judge RMG on only one experience, and maybe I'll go again (if they get some veggie options). However, it was a big disappointment especially since as parents, my husband and I don't get very many opportunities to go out to dinner alone. So just be warned there are def better places to eat in the Vail Valley.

Provided by YP.comI had the best time at this place. On our vacation we went there the first night and had such a good time that we went back almost every day. The burgers are great. The chef specialties are phenom. The Rocky Mountain Trout was one of the best dishes I have ever had. It was like fine dining with a super friendly atmosphere. I wish this place was all over the country! Keep up the good work!
