When I was TDY with the Navy spending two months on the East Coast back in the 1970s I sampled some of the best Middle Eastern fare imaginable. This at a time when what was most commonly available in this area, at least, was either a steak or hamburger, a bit boring at best. I've made Dolmathes in the past so I can be picky about texture and flavor. The young lady assured me she makes them at home from scratch using only fresh ingredients, flavorwise far exceeding what's commonly available at most delis. The Gyro Sandwich melted in my mouth, the Taboulli had great texture, the Baklava the best I can remember. So many businesses in Dixon come and go, I'm rooting for this one to stay, it's now on my short list of outstanding local eateries.
