Title: Connection
I was searching for a therapist that could counsel my personal mental health issues.
I called Path of Healing to inquire about the therapists they had available.
The receptionist asked what I was looking for in a therapist.
In my past experiences with other therapists,
I knew what I DIDN'T want!
I confided in her with things I had experiences, that needed addressed.
I explained how former therapists from other places would not stay in tune with our conversations, one brought her large dog to work (and NOT a therapy dog), some would yawn continuously, watch the clock and didn't give me tasks to work on self care between sessions
I needed someone that had expertise in counseling the issues that i dealt with.
She had someone in mind that could meet the requirements I was seeking.
I informed her that I needed to interview the therapist before accepting her position for my care.
The therapist called me and I comfortably accepted.
I'm so glad I made the call!
