Central Middle School has a staff of more than 80 faculty members that provides educational classes to over 650 students. It provides education to students in grades six through eight and is located in Dobson, N.C. It is recognized as a Signature School for the Piedmont Region by the Piedmont Triad Consortium. The school offers a wide range of athletic activities, such as football, soccer, volleyball, tennis, wrestling, basketball, swimming, track and softball. It has a media center that houses a collection of more than 14,000 volumes. The school provides classes in family and consumer science, foreign language, health, physical education, English, math and social studies. Central Middle School is affiliated with the Surry County Schools that comprises various elementary, middle and high schools.
