I am a big foodie so, this place is like heaven to me ! You can find just about everything you need and some of what you don't need. Spices and foods from around the world. Fresh vegetables , fruit and seafood. They even have a hot bar. The one thing that I really love is that they always have blue crabs and being from Florida that is a must. If you haven't been then you need to stop what you're doing and go check them out. You will be happy that you did.

I shopped at the Buford Farmer's Market this weekend. The selection of fruits, vegetables, and seafood was great. I even saw something that I haven't seen in a long time, it was sour sop. This is a fruit that normally grows in tropical regions and it's very sweet and delicious. I also got a chance to taste a leeche nut. I recommend everyone visit the Buford Farmer's Market. It has something for everyone.

The Buford Farmer's Market is conventiently located just outside the perimeter right off of the I-285. There as wide selection of ethnic foods. The produce section is huge and you can find just about anything from all over the world. Head there on the weekend and prepare for a feast. There are usually samples throughout the store.

A True World Marketplace

I just happened to find this marketplace here on yp.com after visiting a couple others in the Atlanta area, and was truly amazed by the variety of products offered here. I just moved here from Florida, and truly was unable to find certain products in the local supermarkets, but have found pretty much everything i need and more!!

The produce prices are very reasonable compared to the local supermarkets, I could pretty much do all my shopping here and not miss the traditional supermarkets at all.

And all around 5 stars to this marketplace! Go very early or late, It is a busy place!!

A Japanese Foodie's Dream!

A couple years ago, my mother and her hippie friend forced me to go into the Buford Highway Farmer's Market. Upon entrance, my first thought was "EWE IT SMELLS NASTY!" This was because of the abundant array of fish and meats in the back of the store, an odor which emanates throughout the entire ediface. As we walked through the produce section I was somewhat impressed, but then instantly discouraged by all the Mexican stuff. I'm just not interested in Spanish foods. but then as we traveled towards the left portion of the store, I was pleasantly surprised. LIKE THREE AISLES OF JAPANESE FROZEN FOODS, PACKAGED FOODS, AND CANDY!!! One could say I'm a fanatic when it comes to the Japanese culture and cuisine, so of course I was taken aback. They provide so many different Asian foods, including Korean and Chinese. They even have specialty foods like umeboshi and aburaage! O_o If you have even a minute interest in Asian or Hispanic foods GO HERE NOW!
