Ralph Smith started our business in 1974 with the help of a friend from Moultrie, GA named Bill Lewis. 10 years later, Mr. Smith bought Mr. Lewiss part of the business. The company started with 3 employees in a 10,000 sq. foot warehouse on East Main St. in Dothan. The business grew to the point that it was in 8 different buildings on what is now Columbia Highway. In 1990, a 63,000 sq. foot building was built at 1306 Columbia Highway. We had approx. 40 employees at this point. In 1994, we bought out a competitor and opened a small branch on Ross Clark Circle. In 2000, we added a 10,000 sq. foot building on back of Columbia Hwy. property. By this point, we were up to 55 employees. In 2001, we opened our first non-Dothan branch in Marianna, Florida. In 2005, we added 10,000 more sq. feet to our main branch. In 2007, we opened branches in Eufaula and Enterprise, Alabama which took our employee number to 65. We now operate with over 70 employees covering southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia, and the panhandle of Florida and are known as the leading supplier of HVAC and plumbing products in the region!
