100% hot air with absolutely no connection or relevance whatsoever to life in 2012. If you want to listen to a lot of nonsense, listen to the online sermons. People must learn to think for themselves and not let the ramblings of this lunatic permeate their brains! Do not set foot in this place! Women should stand up and protest these feeble attempts to keep them subservient to men. As a man, I do not understand why these religious zealots are so opposed to feminism. As a former writer stated, "Run, do not walk, to get away from this church."

Mountain View Chapel is the be...

Mountain View Chapel is the best church my family has ever attended. No church is perfect because no person is perfect. Only one person on the face of this earth ever lived a perfect life and that was Jesus Christ. One of the many blessings of this church is that they recognize that fact. The Pastor, Elders and Deacons are humble and down to earth people who make no claims to be superior or perfect individuals, but rather just do the best job they can to serve the body of Christ. The teachings are right from the word of God and do no stray from His word. Pastor Chris is one of the best preachers I have ever listened to, breaking his messages down to explain them on a level that provides clear understanding and practical application. There is room for everyone who attends to serve in some capacity and Mountain View encourages people to use their gifts and skills to grow as individuals and among the church and community as well. There will always be negative comments about anything in this life, but I encourage you to come visit this church for yourself. As for me and my family we love Mountain View and are truly blessed to be a part of such an awesome group of people who love the Lord. Hope to see you there!

I can understand why you feel the way you do about MVC because few of you believe in the value of keeping your mairtal vows to be faithful to one another to love one another and to love your neighbor as yourself. Discipline for you or your childeren also seems to be an antiquated value. Please don't wonder why the world is such a mess ; its because it values self above all else.

We knew this church was someth...

We knew this church was something special the minute we walked in the door. This church puts action into "loving" others through ministry. The pastor is a gifted speaker who preaches from the Bible and holds the attention of my teenaged sons (not an easy task); They actually reflect on Sunday's sermon throughout the week. The church knows how to worship through song, as well, combining various styles of music to address varied preferences in ONE service, as opposed to multiple services that makes getting to know other attenders impossible. Children's programs like Children's Church, Sunday School, Awana, MOPS, and Youth Group meet the needs of the young congregation; although, senior attenders have established their niche with a new senior fellowship group. I am so thankful we found this group of believers. The church is a blessing!

We had looked high and low for a good church. After visiting several different denominations, it was here that we felt right at home. I have grown so much in my own walk with God and have a better understanding of His Word since I have been here. The church continues to grow--filled with young people and their families. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a caring body of believers! The preaching is insightful and easily applicable to one's life. It is not a suprise that there are people who reject the Scriptures because it does not fit their lifestyle. I have found that people who do not like a message (as stated in other comments) are those that wish to hold onto worldly ideas, instead of living under God's protective wings. God allows us the freedom to be god or to let Him be God. In the end, we reap what we sow. As for me my family (all college educated...by the way), we are thankful for the love and support the body of believers exhibit to one another, and for the leadership of a well-read, highly educated pastor. Highly recommend!

Maria,

Yes, this religious leader’s ramblings were hilarious and so out of touch with reality. Thank you for emailing me. I have contacted others and I am considering using these ramblings as references for the spring semester, too, filing them under “Examples of How NOT to Counsel- Humorous.” The demographics indicate this area in PA does not have a large percentage of college graduates. I feel sorry for the people who finance this organization- the wool is certainly being pulled over their eyes under the guise of “spiritual guidance.” So sad.

If you want a good laugh, please listen to the following two pastor audio sermons on line:

1) The roll of men and 2) The role of men and women. You will laugh yourself silly. It's like stepping back to the 1800's. I hope the listeners do not take this stuff seriously. It is very hilarious. Thank you.

hotmaira, My interest is piqued by your point of view of the pastor’s sermons. I sounds to me (from your comment) that you have developed a much more intelligent, educated, contemporary point of view of exactly how relationships (between husband and wife) really should be. I'd like to hear your exhaustive arguments on what/how you believe a husband and wife should function within the state of marriage. Documentation of all the successful marriages (from your point of view of how a marriage should function) would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me anytime. I'd like to get to know more about you (your past and present experiences) and your point of view.

Truly a church where you will be fed Spiritually

Wow I finally found a church that I can say that I truly say is helping me to grow as a christian. The first 2 sermons I was able to get more out the service and apply these messages to my life. For example in psalm 128 we learned how we seek other ways to be happy like a trip, a car, and any other things that lasts for only a short time and then we search for something else to make us joyfull. This passage explains how are gifts from God help us to recieve the joy that we need when we use them for His service. That our labor is our fruit that we get from making a living. There is so much more. Go to www.mountainviewchapel.com to listen to the sermon, you won't be dissapointed. My email is [email protected]. I would be glad to tell you more about this church.

Sincerely Being Fed finally
