Downers Grove South High School, a part of Community High School District, has been operational for more than 25 years. Located in Downers Grove, Ill., the high school enrolls more than 2,5000 students annually. Downers Grove South High is approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is member of the West Suburban Conference and Illinois High School Association. It provides a wide variety of student support services, such as career and vocational counseling, academic advising, psychologist solutions, social workers, health services, and student assistance programs. It also provides services in the areas of prevention, intervention and follow-up support activities. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, industrial arts, physical and health education, music, and arts and crafts. It organizes a range of social events, such as musical concerts, alumni banquets, field day, Future Business Leaders of America, junior and senior banquet, scholastic scrimmage, senior trips, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts, and the National Honor Society.
