Provided by YP.comIn 2007, I had a hysterectomy due to a cancer diagnosis--the ob/gyn floor, for the most part, was fabulous, the nurses were there when you needed them, rooms were not only clean, but bright and inviting. But the day before I was supposed to leave, I developed a fever that would fluctuate a couple of degrees. The nurse on staff decided it was probably a hot flash and was not reported to my doctor or on my chart.
Five days later, I end up BACK in the hospital with a 105 degree temperature and on the surgery floor--talk about a nightmare; the first day, my meds get messed up and I go without and painkillers for 10 hours. The rooms were dark, my TV didn't work and the nurses may come...depending on the shift. I'm usually pretty self reliant; even with the IV/cath and fever, I was up and walking within 2 days(had other complications or would have been up the first day!) so its not like I would call then unless I needed them. During the night, there were 2 patients that would yell and scream all the time. I would close my door and the staff would open it. When I asked them why they were opening my door, they told me that the doors were to be kept open--I said, there was no problem on the other floor. Then the nurse(one of the two I had issues with) quit messing with the door(I was the only one in the room).

Provided by YPmobileI went there for help and they crapped on me. Arrogant nurses, confused procedures, questionable doctors.

Provided by YP.comThe place is a dump - one star is one too many. My husband has been there for three back surgeries in less than a year - each time worse than the last. The hospital is dirty and overcrowded. They are doing construction right in the middle of patient floors so it is loud and dusty. On his last visit, he contracted staph infection - which seems to be a pretty common occurance for this hospital. Despite the infectious disease, they put him room in with a homeless man who was detoxing. Go figure. I thought the place was miserable on first site. However, we got caught in a cycle because that is where his doctor was and the surgery procedures didn't seem to work so we continued to be directed back there. After the staff infection, however, enough is enough. I wouldn't take a dog there.
