I sent a group of coins that they bought online and they made disparaging remarks before even recieving them. They then sent back a crushed box of coins which may or may not have been the coins I sent since they were proof sets and i trusted them to be honest, it really leaves a lot of questions in my mind.

Pete's coins was referred to me by a friend who had checked out the surrounding area gold for cash stores, ending at Pete's and getting triple the money.I was a first time seller and was very impressed by his knowledge of his trade.I visited 2x the same week. Pete examined each piece with his eye magnifier, if unsure, would test each piece with a stone and acid test.He separated the gold and silver into karat categories. He then placed each pile onto the digital scale. Each time, he told me the weight and wrote it down and continued the process for each pile. He then looked up the current days gold and silver prices on his computer, and calculated each category multiplying the weights by the current market price.I was very impressed with the time and the detail so both seller and buyer could profit. I give Pete's coins 5 stars, and will continue to do business with Pete.

Pete's Coins is not a very large store, but he makes up for it by going to most of the local coin shows. He brings out a lot of stock! He's bought silver bullion from me for as high as 50 cents over spot (at the Itasca show), and he's sold it to me for as little as 60 cents over spot, depending on market conditions, so I have nothing but good thoughts about dealing with him when it comes to price and "fairness". I have also seen him having to charge a bit more than that when market volatility is up, but when conditions are liquid, Pete can deal. Similar to most bullion dealers the market determines how they price things.Admittedly I am not a numismatic collector, I'm a silver stasher, and the one guilty pleasure I have is foreign coin silver to break up the monotony of bullion rounds and bars.

Pete's coins is made up of grandpa looking greedy thieves that remind you more of criminals...don't bother buying from there because they have way too many fake products and don't sell to them because it would be a complete waste of your time.
