Founded in 1977, Aldie Counseling Center is one of the leaders in the development of treatment interventions and care of the people struggling with alcohol addictions and other drug dependencies. The center provides a variety of educational and professional therapeutic programs. It has an outpatient treatment program for adults and adolescents to recover from an alcohol or other chemical dependency problem. It offers an individualized treatment based on a mix of therapeutic techniques, including individual and group therapies. Aldie Counseling Center also works with schools and other social service agencies. The center also offers child care, therapeutic play groups and parent education workshops. It also has a group discussion programs focusing on understanding addiction, the first step in recovery, gender specific workgroups, spirituality in recovery, physical effects of alcohol and other drugs, managing anger and relapse prevention.
