Operational since 1993, the Alameda County Fire Department provides fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical services to protect residents, properties and environment. It operates more than 15 fire stations and a fleet of fire engines, boats, dozers and water tenders. In addition, the Alameda County Fire Department provides rescue services following disasters, such as gasoline and other flammable liquid spills and natural gas leaks.
