Dublin High offers tremendous choice for students

I have two children attending public schools in Dublin, California. My older child is a freshman at Dublin High School. We've been very pleased with the academic program (Dublin High offers 21 Advanced Placement, Advanced and Honors courses for college preparation). My child is also active in Dublin High's drama program (www.DHSDrama.org) which has been a great experience, and sings in the school choir. The school is currently undergoing a $120M renewal funded by Dublin voters (who have consistently supported public education).

Dublin High was recently notified that it would be included in Newsweek's 2010 list of America's Top Public High Schools. Dublin High's API jumped 44 points to 842 in 2009 and 98% of Dublin High Class of 2009 grads reported attending college. All of that combined meant we didn't feel any need to consider private school options.

We made a good decision moving to Dublin, California in 2000 and that decision is really paying off now with our experience at the local public high school. Another resource for parents on Dublin public schools is www.OneDublin.org.
