I practice neurotology. This is an area of medicine that involves surgical and medical management of disorders of the ear. My clinical focus includes diseases of the ear and cranial base. I also focus on surgical and medical management of hearing loss and sources of dizziness that are otologic (related to the ear). Cochlear implants are of special interest to me. A cochlear implant is a small, intricate device that is surgically implanted to help patients who are deaf or have severely impaired hearing. I help patients who have received cochlear implants with the rehabilitation of their hearin y goal is to provide outstanding care to patients afflicted with ear problems. I work to restore the best possible daily functioning of patients coping with hearing loss. One of the things I enjoy about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the collaborative nature of translational research here. This type of research helps to translate and apply important scientific findings directly to the patient in a very practical way. When I'm not working, I enjoy watching movies, reading and relaxing with my family.
