The mission of the Dubuque Fire Department is to provide emergency response services, code enforcement, public education and ongoing training. The fire department acts as a first responder to structure and vehicle fires, wild fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents and water rescues. Its fire prevention and investigation services include code enforcement, fire cause determination, public education and construction plans review. The department operates from six stations throughout Dubuque, Iowa.
