John Deere Dubuque Works is a factory that opened in 1947 to manufacture construction and forestry equipment for Deere & Company. The plant produces crawler dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, winches and components for heavy equipment. It also houses the John Deere Dealer Technical Assistance Center and Dealer Marketing Assistance Center. John Deere Dubuque Works stretches in excess of one mile long and is situated on 1,465 acres in Dubuque, Iowa. The division s equipment is used in road building, underground utilities, site development and residential construction. It also makes products for material handling, road repair and maintenance. John Deere construction and forestry products are distributed through a network of more than 600 dealer locations worldwide.
