Since 1870 Klauer Manufacturing Company has remained owned and operated by the Klauer family. The company provides sheet metal building products. Klauer manufacturers galvanized/prepainted steel gutter and downspout systems, with an inventory of fittings and accessories; metal building trim products in a comprehensive catalog of styles and more than130 colors; ridgolator ventilation systems in assorted styles, lengths and profiles; and galvanized steel roofing and siding. The company was founded in 1870 by Peter Klauer as a hardware and tin shop along the banks of the Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa. Currently, it operates two plants in Dubuque. The two plants total more than 350,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
