Provided by SuperpagesThis has to be one of the best kept secrets of eastern Iowa or the whole Midwest. The menu is packed with unique presentations of poultry, seafood, pork and steaks. We ordered the pork chop with a walnut-apple glaze and the quail stuffed with seafood and sausage. A squash soup beforehand had prepared our pallets for this exquisite collection of taste sensations. The staff were attentive and prompt, but never patronizing. The restaurant is tucked into a restored storefront on Main Street in Old Dubuque, just a short walk from our hotel. We were here because, in an exploratory telephone call, I had been able to talk to the owner-proprietor, Kim Wolfe, who assured us that our children could have half portions if they wished (our eleven-year-old did!), and who was genuinely interested in our enjoying our entire stay in Dubuque, making a number of helpful suggestions for our Thanksgiving holiday stay. You can't do better than this place, unless you head for Chicago or New York.
