Our son took the 10 week course downtown and just finished his last 2 "behind the wheel" hours with Judy. Our experience as a parent of a new driver and as a customer was great. My phone calls were returned, we had plenty of contacts with Judy on the phone and/or in person. We were very pleased with Academy of Driving and recommend it.

What I like best about Judy is she is honest, direct and 'old school' teaching of the soon to be drivers. I am so tired of entitled and spoiled kids who are disrespectful and want everything handed to them without putting in any effort.

How about tell your kid to pay attention in class and don't complain if your kid is called out for not listening or being disrespectful.

Our son has learned good driving skills lessons from the lessons at Academy of Driving plus driving with his parents who actually did the entire hours expected plus more! We want a smart, safe and conscience driver on the roads who is prepared and not coddled.

Thank you Judy for all that you do since 1992 and for those who want to go elsewhere -We live in America and we have choices but to put down and sabotage another person's company/business is rude and unprofessional.

Extremely unprofessional. We made the mistake of pre-paying for 3 two hour sessions. ($300) The first session she showed up 40 minutes late, forgetting she had an appointment. The second session took a few months to get scheduled. The next session she didn't show. She then scheduled another session, changed the time at the last minute and did not call back to clarify the change. She said that she waited 15 minutes and then drove off. And then we made more than 15 calls over a 2 month period trying to get the last two hour session scheduled and no one called us back. In desperation, we contacted an independent instructor who was great and gave us the final two hour session. I contacted the Academy requesting a letter of verification for my son's four hours from them. i then received a call from the woman there who offered to give him his final session. When I told her that he had completed this and all we needed was the letter of verification, she informed me that we owed her $100 for the 15 minutes she had to wait and by finding someone else for the final hours we forfeited our rights to the last session (No, this could not be used as a credit toward the 15 minutes she waited). And.. she would not give me the verification unless I paid this additional $100. And...if I did not pay she would report my son to the state informing them that he was noncompliant and 'he will never be able to drive again'. And, according to the contract you sign with them 'charges are at our discretion'. All of this was delivered to me in a very rude and loud manner. Do NOT use this company!! I would give them minus 5 stars if I could!

Very unprofessional! Disorganized. Rude. More expensive than others. I seriously could not imagine my son being instructed by someone who yelled at me on the phone because I didn't know she didn't work on Saturdays. She also could not find any record of my son taking classes from her this past fall.

Extremely unprofessional

I had an appointment for the behind the wheel training(which was way more expensive here than at the other places around) today at 9:00. I waited from 8:30 to 10:00. No sign of the instructor that was supposed to show up(Jim Masterson, the business manager). He didn't even bother to leave his phone number so that I could call and ask where he was. I left a message on the office phone and said that if I was paying top dollar for their services, they should at least call and say that they couldn't make it. My mother also left a kinder message. Jim called my mom back and told her that he showed up to our house and waited for half an hour and that no one came out. When my mom tried to schedule for this Wednesday, he said "which driveway should I go up? There were two at the house I went to" we only have one driveway, so he was obviously at the wrong house. She told him that, but he refused to admit that he was in the wrong. But my mom left our my number for him anyways and scheduled for Wednesday. I got an angry call from Jim just a few hours ago and he said something along the lines of "I didn't appreciate your message, young lady! We are NOT unprofessional! I waited outside your house for half an hour and you didn't come outside. You had my number, so you should have called!" I told him that he was at the wrong house, that I did NOT have his number, and that I didn't appreciate him yelling at me(hid voice had been raised this whole time). He yelled "WELL YOU DESERVE IT. You do NOT call me u professional!" I told him that by yelling at me, the person who was going to give him money, he was being incredibly unprofessional. He then started to yell even more and ended his tirade with "FINE! FIND SOMEONE ELSE!" And hung up. If you want overpriced instruction and rude, unprofessional, stubborn instructors, by all means go here.

This is an incredibly unprofessional organization. Adult driving instruction comes at more than double the cost of competitors, a chatty instructor that is far more distracting than helpful, and blatent refusal to cover various procedures. If you go with Academy you can rest assurred that you could not possibly do any worse.
