Baking professionally since 1994, Eileen started How Sweet It Is Cakes in 1994 out of her home in Portland. This turned out to be a smart move as the cake industry was just on an upswing. Once people found about her unique style, the orders started rolling in. By shear will power and a baptism by fire she managed to turn out cake after cake and within a few short weeks Eileen had created a bakery to be reckoned with! Originally from Duluth; she moved back home in 2007 to marry her college sweetheart. Mrs. Eileen Brown quickly jumped back in the game and restarted her bakery up in a church basement located in Cloquet but quickly outgrew her location. The bakery has now partnered with The Duluth Grill in Duluth’s friendly Lincoln Park neighborhood. Eileen and her staff make everything from scratch.
