Jimi has been teaching guitar to my 11 year old son for 2+ years now. My son loves going to lessons and is now practicing more because he wants to get better. He doesn't force the practicing but some how he gets him to practice with his gentle guidance. I love that Jimi plays in the community. We have seen him play at local venues and my son really enjoys watching him play. He is a true teacher and musician. Thank you for encouraging my son to continue to play.

If you're on the fence about taking lessons, life is short - do it! If you're looking to learn from someone who understands not only how to play, but music theory, you'd be hard pressed to beat Jimi Cooper's studio in the area.

Jimi took me under his wing during fall 2008. I spent one hour a week with him for the better part of two years and in that time we covered everything I could have wanted plus more. Mr. Cooper gave me the proper set of tools to take my education and playing to next level and so that I could become my own instructor. He understands this concept perfectly and will get you to a point with your playing and understanding that you did not expect. By visiting Jimi once a week, you'll only be improving and having fun.



If I hadn't studied with Jim, I would have never discovered fingerstyle guitar which has completely dominated my musical life the last year. This style of guitar has strengthened every facet of my musical career and I really owe it all to Jim for getting me experienced with it and many other music forms.
