This school is getto . I had to pull my kid out the second year.

I heard a lot of scary stories about Dunbar Middle School before my sons got to the sixth grade. Needless to say I was not excited about them attending this school. When my eldest son started there so did my nightmares. I couldn't believe the things I went through with this school. My biggest complaint is the fact that they would never involve me in the discipline or keep me informed of what was going on there. I told everyone from the Prinicpal to the facility and staff that if my child is misbehaving to call me, write a note or something. I would only get a call when they were going to suspend my child from school. When I questioned them on why they didn't contact me prior to this, I was told that they did not think the nuber written on the emergency card was a good number because it was written on the top of the card. However, she contacted me at that same number, but only after my child was being suspend from school. Go figure.
