Provided by YP.comI lived in Culpepper for awhile and if I knew what I knew now I would have NEVER moved there. The children running all over the complex at all hours of the night w/o their parents and I'm not talking just teens and older, small children between 6-8yrs old. The so-called curfew in place means NOTHING.The loud music from cars at all hours also is a joke. Dont get me wrong we all love our music but after 10 pm some of us do have jobs and children.
Rent goes up every single year, but you see no improvement on the property. When I first moved there they would pressure wash the buildings and breezeways. that hasnt been done in years, try over 5years. Yes, I did live there for awhile but only due to the convience of location for my job and school. I once had to wait 2+years for screens on my windows due to a bad storm we had. REALLY. To get maintance to come out and fix something is also a joke.
Nearly 2-3 months with no air conditioning with only being given lame excuses to why they can't get it fixed, but oh they will supply a fan, yes, I said a FAN...On your renewal date you are allowed to either have a carpet cleaning or if you have been there awile you can have your apartment refreshed with paint. How about now the manager states that, "oh, we don't do that anymore but i can pour you some in a jug and you can do it yourself!!! WTF
The burners on the stove you literally have to shake/shift to get them to work. You call maintance they just replace with does not work, it is the wiring under the top that is the problem. But still we have the possible safely hazard. They do not want to be bothered with the tenants, they just want your money.
Don't try to call the office because they screen calls and if they don't feel like answering, THEY WONT!!!! I have called the office several times in one day and left messages to only not get a answer or a call back. The management changes everytime you turn around so that saids something on it's own.
Oh, don't let me forget all the drug deals that i have witnessed. You call the police they come and run off but nothing else is done. You tell the office they just say, "We'll take care of it". Thats just yet another joke.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPLEX TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU LIKE LOUD MUSIC, RUN DOWN LOOKING BUILDING AND DRUGS!!!
ALSO DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS, THOSE ARE ONLY FROM SOMEONE WITH CULPEPPER TRYING TO MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD AFTER THEY GET A BAD REVIEW....

Provided by YP.comI used to live there. Found out it was like living in the hood. Its 99% blacks and most of the ones hanging around don't even live there! They are selling drugs in the parking lot! Even got the kids (running around screaming outside all the time with no parents) watching for the cops for them. Its a drug haven! The noise is unbelieveable! The boom boom friggin' rap music blaring from cars at all hours of the nite! The bugs! Complaining does no good, they tell you to buy some bug spray or wait for the monthly bug guy. They actually printed that on their flyers they stick in your door every week or so. They did nothing about the loud, partying neighbors, said they had to 'hear it ' themselves. which is impossible since they dont live there!!! and then they wanted to raise MY rent even higher to $725 a month!!!! for my next lease! I left! It's not a safe place, it's not a quiet, comfortable place. The pool is tiny, so full of kids you can't use it., The gym is a small room with a few machines and I wouldn't dare use the laundry place. It's NOT safe!
The people that write good reviews are the management so they won't get into trouble with their boss.
I reported the situation to the police in Duncan and they said they have been trying to get the crack dealers BUT just can't get in there without the kids screaming to alert the dealers that the cops have pulled in.
If you are looking for a safe, clean, quiet, comfortable home, DO NOT move in. You have to climb over abunch of thugs on the stairway smoking pot every nite. They won't move either! Just sit there making rude comments as you go up the stairs. complaining does nothing because these people don't live there, they just 'hang out'!
BEWARE
NOT a safe place.
and if someone comes on here and says some crap like I'm just a loser and I didn't pay my rent or didnt do this or that, or didn't want to pay pet deposit or something like that, its untrue! I was a good tennant, We had no pets! I lived there for an entire year until my lease was up! my children were quiet, we paid our rent on time every time! and tried not to complain too much but sometimes I had to and nothing was ever done.
They did to do criminal background checks on these people. Its just criminals hanging out here, coming home there and most are on welfare, selling their foodstamps for crack money. I actually overheard some women that had several kids apiece, all colors, talking about how much they were going to get to sell their foodstamps for cash so they could buy some 'smokes'. Seriously people! If this is your lifestyle then move on in because they don't check anything except they do love to bang on the door alot to check this and check that, give you lightbulbs, check the filter for the AC, great..how about scraping the low lifes off the stairs on your way down!
Sad...really sad with all those kids that this is the life they have when the place 'could' be nice! Could be..IF they had security!!!!

Provided by YP.comI enjoy living in Culpepper Landing Apartments. As a tenant I am very pleased with the new management staff as well as the maintenance personnal. It is a very well maintained community and will recommend it to any family member and friends. Culpepper is conveniently located and accesible to both Greenville area and Spartanburg area. Furthermore the area is developing not only with BMW plants but many new companies and restaurant which can be of great improvement to the area in an economic term. As every community it has its up's and down's and isn't perfect but as a tenant I believe that if we all do our part and help out we can make Culpepper an even better place to live in. I truly enjoy zumba classes hosted by the management as well as community meetings and other commmunity events. I encourage yall to participate and it will let us know who our neighbors are as well as making new friends.
