My family and I have never bee...

My family and I have never been treated so awful before! My husband had gotten a hair cut from Carrie and we were very pleased with it. So I made an appointment for my daughter to get a hair cut and when I arrived (a few minutes late) I apologized. It was just a young girl working (the one I had made the appointment with) and no one else. She said she couldn't cut my daughters hair unless I took the feather out, my daughter (6) was crying about the feather. The stylist was saying things to my daughter like "You need to sit up" and " Can you tip your head, I know you like to you've been doing it the whole time you've been here!". Ten minutes after my daughter sat down she was done cutting and was sending us out the door in 50degree weather with dripping wet hair (which btw is thick and long). I had asked her why she didn't dry it and she said it was because we were late(10min). She didn't tell me she wouldn't have time to dry my daughters hair before she started it. By the time I left I was disgusted with the customer service we had received. I felt like the owner should be made aware of what had happen. So when I got home I looked on the internet for the owners number (since she wasn't at the salon). I didn't find it but I did however find their Facebook page where I posted my "review" and what had happened to us. The next afternoon I was finally able to contact the owner (which btw said she was "happy to hear from me" and she "was aware of what happen", she had my number why didn't she call me?) we chatted for a bit and she expressed how sorry she was and told me it was hard to find "Good Help" . I was pleased with our conversation and thought it ended on a good note. After that I logged onto Facebook to delete my review (which was no different than this one other than the ending) but while doing so my phone rang and it was Heather (the owner) who said she was just made aware of the Facebook review and she wasn't happy with me. She was being very nasty and said it (the review) would give her business a black eye. I tried to explain to her that I only spoke the truth and the bad customer service is what would give her business the black eye. She wasn't interested in listening to me and said "Good look trying to find a stylist" and then hung up on me. Very bad customer service, UNPROFESSIONAL! Something also tells me I won't be getting the coupon they give to all the customers that write a review for them! And just so we're clear I'm fairly new to this town I don't have friends who work at other salons nor do I! I was a paying customer who walked in not knowing anyone and was treated horrible! I give them LESS THEN ONE STAR!

CREDIBILITY NOTE: this person was bragging that she made a hairdresser cry at the Wal-Mart SMARTSTYLE Hair Salon in Monroe, MI when she did not like her husband’s haircut. We WILL NOT compromise the next customers experience because people show up half way through their scheduled appointments. Many businesses turn customers away and/or make them reschedule when they are late. Rootz Salon is a customer focused business (you can tell by reading the previous positive reviews); making the best of the situation even when appointments are cut in half. This reviewer was very happy with the quality of both haircuts and became upset when there was no time for a blow dry because she was 13 minutes late and the next customer was waiting. Because of this situation, we have adopted a new policy for late customers. Rootz Salon will communicate all options UP FRONT. Options may include eliminating part of the service such as blow styling or rescheduling but it is ALWAYS our desire to finish your hair to perfection. I have learned a valuable lesson today; we cannot make some people happy no matter how hard we try. Unfortunately, I cannot be at the salon during all business hours so I will be making my personal cell phone number available to customers. I encourage all customers that have not received a perfect experience to come to me first so I may remedy the situation. Sincerely, Heather Lomazzo
