Durand Middle School offers a range of academic and enrichment activities for more than 450 students in grades six through eight. The school provides classes in math, science, English, Spanish, physical education and life management. With a staff of over 25 teachers, it also hosts sessions in art, vocal music and wood technology. Durand Middle School operates a parent group and offers guidance counseling and special education programs. In addition, the school organizes off-campus events and educational field trips. It features a library, cafeteria and computer lab. Durand Middle School provides several athletic activities, such as football, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. The school has a student council. It is governed by Durand Area Public Schools, which manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
