Great new Cortez location store. Huge inventory and an archery range. The staff is terriffic. I ordered a pistol at a great price and it came in within a few days. My new favorite gun store in the area.

Personnell at Goods for the Woods would be well advised to stick to business and not indulge in the politics of the gun control issue. There are several people who own guns, who in fact buy them often from gun shops, but who DO support bans on assault weapons and restrictions on magazine capacities. Some of these gun control supporters are US Marines, who are, on discharge, obligated to semper vigilans: that is, they are put through a Quality Citizen program in which they become dedicated to guarding the welfare of the communities in which they live. Goods for the Woods, in its open and non-business related antics in trying to recall a CO senator and US Marine, is running the risk of alienating several loyal customers who object to the basis of the recall effort. There are proper forums for taking stances on political issues. I would like to see Goods for the Woods stick to these channels.

Great Shooting Sports Store

This store has just about everything you could imagine for shooting sports, and if they don't have it, they will order it for you. They ordered my husband and I a couple of products and got my picky husband exactly what he wanted with a pretty quick turnaround. Additionally, when I went to the store myself without a lot of knowledge of shooting sports, the staff was quite helpful and helped me find what I needed.
