Horrible owner!!! I take pride and feel it is very important to support small business. But when people are as disgustingly mannered as this women my money is better spent anywhere else. The situation first started when I brought a large amount of baby clothes in for consignment. I handed them to her and told her my husband and I, are going out of town we will be back in a week. A week later when I went back in she first offered me $18 for all of my clothes, when I told her I would rather have my clothes back, she told me my husband came to pick them up. When I looked over at my husband and she realized he was in the store she then tried to give me someone else’s clothes, after that didn’t work she confessed she gave them away to someone else. She then rudely said, “What do you want for them?” I answered $100 she then laughed in my face and said “no” after that she then tried to dump a bunch of left over unwanted used clothing on me, I finally got her to agree to $50 store credit. The next day I went in and searched for something not made in china and bought one item. Her manner was unapologetic and rude and I decided that I was never going back in that store AGAIN! Now unfortunately the $500 over priced Chicco all terrain stroller I bought from them is now broken and I need the receipt that I was never given for the warranty. I contacted the daughter who told me it would be no problem. When I called back the next day unfortunately I got the mother (you will know her because she overwhelmingly smells like cigarettes) who at first seemed helpful until she realized I was the women with the consignment clothes. She began a series of verbal abuse. I have never been more discussed by a person in my life. She told me I was the girl whose husband was screaming at her in the store and I deserve it because I am crazy and I wrote a review about her that was nothing but lies. All I could think was obviously I’m not the only one who is having problems with this woman. When I tried to explain to her I didn’t know what she was talking about neither of those things ever happened and I think you have me confused with someone else she started screaming “I WILL NEVER HELP YOU”! All I can think is what kind of business owner acts like this? If I were her daughter I would be humiliated. I have reported this to the better business burro I urge you if you have problems to do the same. Several of my girl friends that have had problems are as well. Not all small businesses are good, I am sad to say. It’s kind of ironic I didn’t write the review that she accused me of, but because of it I am writing one now. Good business plan.
