After receiving of Master’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida, Dr. Joyner graduated Penn State College of Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center in 2012. Immediately following residency, he trained under Dr. James Andrews in a Sports Medicine fellowship at The Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Joyner Currently served as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United States Navy at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where he cared for the military population, which includes the Navy Seals. He was also currently an Assistant Professor in Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
